Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT)

Corneal Refractive Therapy is a non-surgical procedure that uses a therapeutic lens to gently shape your cornea while you sleep. The lens shapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness and astigmatism resulting in clear, crisp vision throughout the day.

CRT lenses are similar in appearance to standard contact lenses. They are removed upon waking, offering freedom from glasses and contact lenses during the day.

CRT is for:
  • Children and adults who are nearsighted
  • Those who do not want to wear glasses or contacts during the day
  • Those that have healthy eyes

What to expect:
CRT lenses are made of material designed specifically to be worn overnight. You will put the lenses in each night or every other night before you go to bed. When you remove your lenses in the morning, your reshaped cornea will focus light correctly onto the retina. The result is clear, crisp vision for all of your waking hours.

Most patients have rapid improvement in the first few days and achieve optimum vision in 10 to 14 days. Dr. Bristol provides free consultations for people interested in this exciting non-surgical vision correction procedure.
